This weekend, Dibs payroll company figures showed that the number of purchases in Swedish online stores had increased by ten percent in total compared to the year readag last. And Postnord confirmed Wednesday that package management broke a record after Black Friday.
"Sick days"
702,000 parcels were processed in Sweden during a single day (Monday) after a weekend of buy-in. The previous record was 583,000 packages in one day, then in December of last year.
"These are sick days, but it's really fun, really fun. It's an added pleasure," says Mathias Krümmel, who has done so well so far:
"We learned many lessons last year and now have more terminals, trucks and drivers that can be deployed on time.

In total, Postnord has processed more than 2.2 million packages since Black Friday and, although the peak may be reached, an intensive period should continue until Christmas.
– From a logistical point of view, it is good that you have added Black Friday more days than Friday. It is difficult to size the activity of a giant woodpecker, and this is probably because many online merchants choose to receive offers for a long time, "said Mathias Kümmel.
Get out on time
More than half of consumers have made all their purchases over the Internet. In total, an average of 2,635 Swedish kroner per person working in e-commerce was spent and the most popular products were clothing and consumer electronics.
In Gothenburg, the black Friday weekend's online store had exceeded Postnord's forecast by 16%.
Mathias Kümmel now invites individuals to respect the high workload.
– As soon as you receive your notification, download the packages. Otherwise, you build stocks with the agents. If you want to avoid queues, you must choose another time than 17-19 to retrieve the packages. And having a pre-order for Christmas, it's good to order before December 19, he says.
