It was a Friday night for a short time in several directions in Karlstad. Areas of Drabbade include the center, Råtorp, Kvarnberget and Marieberg.
According to Karlstad El & Stadsnät, the problems have already started at 19:30 on Friday night. Then there were about 400 homes without electricity in Kvarnberget and Marieberg.
– It seems that there was a cable failure that rendered it helpless in these areas. When it came to a test switch, an overhead protection allowed even more Karlstad areas to be unpowered, explains Elnstrand Electricity Manager.
It was at 21:20, when large parts of Karlstad were darkened. However, the break only lasted a few minutes.
At 22:30, the error must have been corrected and the current restored, says Karlstad El & Stadsnät on his website.
