Rescue attempt against Lidl – Uppsala

It's just after Wednesday night's closure that Lidl's staff at Gränby in Uppsala was sitting and counting the daily box in a locked room. Suddenly, the door of the front door is crushed and three attackers enter the store

– They were masked and had the power to break the box. They were probably looking for the cash register, "said Susanne Sjögren, commander of the regional police management center

but thanks to the staff in a room, the thieves could not access the staff or the money.

– They failed. We were looking for them but we still have no one, says Susanne Sjögren.

Police searched the area for robberies, including dog patrols. The camera is monitored and the location is locked. Police officers will investigate crime scene Thursday morning

No staff member was injured and police issued a robbery report
