But the new Legislation has been delayed, reports Swedish radio. Now, the security police (Säpo) is raising the finger on the difficulty of making their work difficult. Johan Olsson, director of Säpo's operation, told Ekot that "hundreds of cases" were affected by the lack of data and that it was linking everything to the terrorist fight.

He adds that mobile data is the "foundation of intelligence work".
– In case of aggression, the first thing to do is to look on the phone, with what other people did the person she spoke to, with whom other people might be involved or are likely to commit new attacks. We lose all this in capacity when data storage is not done as before.
Olsson also raises that it applies to all law enforcement agencies and that the need has increased rather than diminished over time.
"The (datan) is important to us, it's important for the police, for all law enforcement agencies, so we just want it as before," he told Ekot.
