On Wednesday morning, several railways will be temporarily closed. The reason is the SMHI Class 2 warning and that the Swedish Transport Administration sees a risk of sun curves as a result of high temperatures.
The affected roads are Linköping-Kalmar, Linköping-Västervik and Berga-Oskarshamn from Wednesday morning. These are disabled for all passengers and goods.
The Swedish Transport Administration will inspect the suspended railways on a continuous basis. It's the development of the weather that controls when traffic can start driving again, but the Swedish Transport Authority has estimated that this could happen on Monday, July 30th.
The sections concerned are cross-country boys.
– The combination of the Class 2 weather warning and this type of railway means that we stop the traffic, "said Linda Corsvall, acting press officer to the Swedish Administration of in a press release.
Travelers are sent back to their train company for pay problems.
