Smart idea for lifts in Torna Hällestad

The price of living in the country is hard to reach in the city. Many people in the village of Torna Hällestad feel compelled to have two cars, said Joakim Lindhé.

"And even though there are only five miles from Dalby, where buses make a tight trip to Malmö and Lund.The lack of public transport is something that we swear all the time when we live in the countryside.

The municipality paid

At the same time, there is a battle of power with almost half of the cars in the village to the public transport of the city. The answer to the problem has become a place of life where one who must take two by two with each other.

"There are a lot of cars here and there is a good mood in the village, so we thought we would take advantage of the incredible transportation available.

The concept is linked to reflections on the shared economy and collaborative consumption implemented on a global scale. But a big difference from many similar contemporary initiatives is noted: there is no mobile application or need.

– This is very low tech. And it's a strength, if you had been dependent on downloading an app, many opportunities had disappeared. It will be different if you can only come to see your neighbor who wants to go to Dalby, says Joakim Lindhé.
