Inside the Rekarnegymnasiet, there was a big Christmas tree last week – and for every day there were some spots under it. Flaps are gifts from high school students to school and should be distributed to children and youth in poor condition.
Sofia Oinonen, 18, took the initiative of the collection, which Eskilstuna's mail was the first to tell. She was inspired by Petter Stordalen who had the same concept in her hotels and asked Plantagen if she could get a spruce for this purpose, which she received.

In just one week, she quickly formed a summit under spruce and estimated that thirty parcels were to be distributed. Gifts include clothing for children of different ages, toys, puzzles and painting equipment.

On Thursday, she will pick up the parcels and deliver them to another collection in contact with organizations that help socially vulnerable children and families.
Sofia says the reactions of the other high school students were only positive and many wanted to help.
"People have become very happy and grateful because I think that many people want to make a difference, but have a hard time taking that step, so I made it easy for them.
