A waste from the Reddish recycling station, near Skara, has been burning since midnight, several media reported.
"It will probably happen this morning, maybe even in the morning," said Tony Engdahl, head of social protection at Skaraborg Center, SVT News West.
The cause of the fire is not known. The waste must be burned at the central heating.
On Thursday morning at 4:00, the public service said the situation was under control.
– There is no risk of proliferation. It's pretty isolated. It's blowing in the right direction, so there's nothing that the spark can go, says Engdahl to SVT.
