SOS received the alarm at 1723 and the emergency facilities were immediately sent to the site. The accident occurred near Smyge Havsbad on Highway 9.
"We have a strong collision with a tree and a violent fire," said Rickard Lundqvist, president of the police management center.
According to the police, a person would have died as part of the accident. No other person was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The accident should have been a single accident without any additional vehicle involved.
Mats Nilsson, an internal commander of the South Rescue Service, said the vehicle was in surplus when the rescue team arrived.
The road
"By the way, we have extinguished the fire, there is nothing more to add on our side," he says.
The road was blocked during the entire rescue operation and, at 7 pm only, the emergency service and the police announced that the road could be reopened.
Police do not suspect crime in relation to the accident.
