The legendary Spanish Palm Thure Nässén is dead.

He fell asleep yesterday after a short-term illness, 83 years old.

"I am broken," says his partner, Ulla Lindfors.

Thure Nässén was the leader and interrogator who became famous during the arrest of Christer Pettersson in December 1988.

As a police officer, Thure Nässén during his career was particularly mentioned for his footwork and good contacts. And when he retired in 2000, he was named Sweden's most experienced murder investigator.

"Went very fast"

Her partner for 20 years, Ulla Lindfors, aged 86, reports that Thure Nässén had heart failure three weeks ago.

– It happened very quickly. He started talking strangely and when we arrived at the hospital, it turned out that he was suffering from heart failure. Ulla Lindfors said that he had fallen asleep among his children yesterday, just after four o'clock.

She describes Thure Nässén as a "true male teacher" with a big Polish heart.

"I will remember him as the most generous and honest person." He sighed for the weak, she said.

"Was very calm"

In February 2018, SVT's "Mission Review" released a documentary in which Thure Nässén was accused of handling an interrogation in connection with the Palme investigation in order to place your Christer Pettersson.

"He was immersed in the soul of the latter and felt that his professional pride was really questioned by the colleagues with whom he had worked.After the program, he became very quiet and I think he changed personality, "says Ulla Lindfors.
