Swede sued for killing Heikki, 24
A 20-year-old Swede is suspected of murder and theft in Oslo.
Police believe that the man escaped to Sweden after the death – this man is now sought after by the international community.
"We take note of it because he may have left Sweden," said investigator Grete Link Metlid.
When the roommates returned to the apartment in Majorstuen, Oslo, they found on Monday their friend Heikki Bjørklund Paltto, aged 24, murdered with a knife.
At a press conference Sunday, the Norwegian police confirmed Aftonbladet's revelation that a 20-year-old Swede is now wanted by the international community for the murder of Heikki.
Police: think that he went to Sweden
The man from a city in central Sweden is also believed to have committed a knife before the murder.
"We have reason to believe that he left Norway after the murder and the robbery of Monday and that he went to Sweden.Of course, we take note of it because it is possible that he has left Sweden and may be somewhere else, "said investigator Grete Lien Metlid.
Calls to Sweden: Put yourself back
On Friday, the Norwegian police came out with photos of wanted people. Subsequently, several concrete tips were received – which led to the identification of the one requested, said investigator Grete Link Metlid at the press conference.
"We assume that he is well aware that we are looking for him," Link Metlid said.
