The prize is awarded each year to a journalist who has demonstrated his competence and his leading journalism. The prize money in each category is 100,000 crowns.
The journalist's grand prize is divided into five categories: the story of the year, the story of the year, the renewal of the year, the voice of the year, and the Lukas Bonnier Journalist Award.
