A Thai rescue diver from the Navy Special Association died during the efforts of the boys stuck in a cave in Thailand.

The diver, who was carrying cubes of air, died of oxygen deficiency at the cave system exit.

The task of the diver was to reach the air cubes at the place where the twelve boys and their coaches are. He had previously worked in the Thai Navy and was still involved in relief efforts.

– A former SEAL employee, who volunteered at the age of two, said Passakorn Boonyaluck, Governor of Chian Rai Province, for the general press conference, according to AP press agency.

He did not have enough air to cope with the return and became unconscious. His life could not save.

– Even if we have lost a person, we must always believe that we can do our job, says Commander Arpakorn Yookongkaew.

Pumping Water

The job of the rescue team is to pump significant amounts of water from the cave before the rain gets into the water in the area and dive with the boys.

It has been almost two weeks since the local football team entered the cave in northern Thailand and got stuck there because the rising water level is blocking the outlets. On July 2, they were found alive.

The road leading to the house in which the football team is located is difficult to reach during the rainy season. Some parts of the road, divers must take their tubes to get through the passages.
