Stockholm. Atrial fibrillation has been diagnosed in more than 200,000 Swedes. In fact, between 100,000 and 150,000 people could have serious heart disease in silence, according to the Federal Federations of Heart and Lung Disease.
Chief Medical Officer Leif Friberg of the Cardiology Clinic at Danderyd Hospital calculated how many people had "silent flicker," writes Svenska Dagbladet.
The flicker of the heart implies a risk of doubling to die prematurely. Fatigue and fast irregular heartbeat are symptoms.
