In 2003, the Swedish church sold a farm in the old town for just over half a million. But something went wrong and the buyer bought an entire house – by mistake. Something like Home & Rental magazine was the first to talk about.

The Swedish church was recognized for its failure when the new owner, Androm AB, responsible for property management, turned to the church for ten years after finalizing the purchase. Androm AB then claimed that it was actually those who owned the building when connected to the farm.

On the contrary, the Swedish Church claims that everything is a mistake and decided to sue Androm AB in 2014. In the church's request, it should be made clear that Androm AB should only buy that farm – and absolutely nothing else – at a modest price.

The judicial process took its time and in September of this year, the verdict fell before the District Court of Stockholm – The Swedish Church lost the game. Home & Rental writes that, according to the court, it can not be proven that the contract of purchase concerned only a farm.

At present, the Swedish Church has appealed the judgment of Svea Hovrätt District Court, but it remains to be seen whether the Court of Appeal will investigate.

Stefan Kamlin, a church lawyer, explains to Home & Rent that it is unusual for a buyer to request access to a property for a long time after the end of the trade.

Why Androm AB has let the church take care of the tenant for ten years before asking for access, says the real estate company: "The street house was a long-term renovation property for Androm. Why Androm did not immediately ask for access to the street, "says Huis & Hyra.
