Two in the hospital after an accident on E4

A truck and a car should be involved in an accident on the E4 just before Gränna, north of Jönköping.

The accident has greatly affected the traffic because it is a continuous road just as the vehicles collided.

Two people were transported to the hospital with an ambulance.

The alarm arrived at the police at 17:09 on Sunday. Ambulance, rescue and police were sent to the site of the accident.

Road work affects traffic

Initially, it was the total stop on E4, heading north at the height of Gränna. According to Tommy Åkerberg, ongoing road work has exacerbated the situation.

– There will always be queues after an accident. Now it is already a road work in the same way that the accident occurred. So he was put on hold before the accident.

At 19:26, the emergency service had left the scene – the waiting lines were still long because of the road works.

People kissed along the road

A witness who was at the height of Gränna at the time of the accident confirmed that the queues were very long.

– We queued for almost two hours. People jump cars and kiss along the road, says a roadmap to which Aftonbladet spoke.

Another witness who has been in contact with Aftonbladet tells us that a car was squeezed under a truck.

At 22:00, the Jönköping rescue service announced that there were still many cars on the road – but there should be no question of a total stop.

The condition of damage is still not clear.
