BROOKLYN, Ohio – Swensons Drive-Ins has opened its sixth location in Cleveland and will offer Galley Boys free this Tuesday, September 21.

The restaurant, at 7414 Brookpark Road, will be located on the lot across from Best Buy. A food-truck barbecue is scheduled for Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The first 100 customers will receive a free Galley Boy – Swenson double cheeseburger with chopped green olive. Other menu items will be available for purchase.

The restaurant, known for its old-fashioned curb-only pickup and tray service, is slated to be finished this winter.

Swensons was founded in 1934. The Akron-based restaurant has a dozen locations in Northeast Ohio, several in Columbus and one planned in Cincinnati.

The freebie ceremony will be a few days late but still worth celebrating: today – Saturday, September 18 – is National Cheeseburger Day.
