20 minutes – "Viola Amherd is unmasked as a traitor"

The SVP faction is going to the Federal Council elections on December 5th for Karin Keller-Sutter, member of the FDP State Council, and for Heidi Z Graggen, VPC government advisor. Karin Keller-Sutter praises the members. "She did an impeccable performance," says Claudio Zanetti. With her French without accent, she was also able to score points with colleagues from Welsche. The group members behave more moderately for the election of Heidi Z & Graggen, who also received 38 votes. "She had a refreshing performance and it's not bad at all if a seat on the Federal Council has not yet experienced in the federal parliament," said Claudio Zanetti. Barbara Steinemann also describes her performance as being lively in spirit. "But it puts me in the minority," she says.

"No great CVP ticket"

According to Claudio Zanetti, the faction of candidates for the CVP is basically not enthusiastic. "I would have liked Gerhard Pfister to be on the list." But the election of the Federal Council was not a wish concert, adds Zanetti. Roland Rino Büchel also said: "The CVP does not have a brilliant ticket – everyone is in agreement with that." Z 'graggen was the least harm compared to Viola Amherd.

Viola Amherd triumphed at the SVP with ten votes. "At the hearing she was unmasked as a traitor," said Barbara Steinemann. When asked how she voted for Federal Councilor Christoph Blocher (First Vice-President) on December 11, 2007, she spoke of the secrecy of secrecy. "It was clear to many that she had stabbed us in the back and that she had supported Eveline Widmer Schlumpf and not Christoph Blocher."

Amherd is for many group members but also left. "Heidi Z & Graggen was clearly more bourgeois than Viola Amherd," says Roland Rino Büchel.

Wicki had been angry

The FDP State Council, Hans Wicki, received 16 votes. According to group members, he was beaten mainly because he could not keep up with Keller-Sutter's excellent performance. "He hardly speaks French or Italian, which is a disadvantage for a federal council," said Zanetti. Steinemann did not even match Wicki's High German. "We expect from a Federal Council a polite appearance of High German and no shirt."

Many members of the faction had also seen him seductive. Steinemann: "He wanted to have sympathy with us, becoming aware of the similarities with us."
