On December 6, 6 athletes participated in the "Sports Awards" for the Athlete of the Year title and for the succession of Wendy Holdener and Roger Federer.
There is a choice of athletes who have excelled in international competitions or at the national level between November 1, 2017 and October 31, 2018.

During the live broadcast hosted by Sandra Studer and Rainer Maria Salzgeber, Swiss sports fans will vote for the athlete and the athlete of the year by televoting.
A selection of 6 nominees has already been made by the best athletes and sports media in Switzerland (sports departments, sections of the sportpress.ch association). The results of the primaries (media and elite athletes) and the televot each represent one-third.
The net proceeds of the telephone vote benefit the Swiss Sports Aid Foundation. The participation is worth it: 10,000 francs will be drawn among all participants.
