Rice is available in a variety of varieties: wild rice, basmati rice, jasmine rice, sad rice, black rice and red rice are some examples.
The healthiest, however, is brown rice because it contains the most fiber.
These cause a drop in blood glucose once the consumption has become strong and we stay full longer.
This could also be the reason that Japanese scientists have discovered in a study: Those who consume brown rice instead of white are less likely to eat.

Rice varieties in comparison
The researchers wanted to know if the weight had changed differently according to the rice varieties.
The team focused on the question of whether there was a link between the consumption of different types of rice and the risk of having gained three kilograms (or more) after a year .
To this end, the health data of 437 Japanese factory workers were analyzed. The participants were then divided into two groups: one usually consumed white rice and the other brown rice.
In addition, the quantity of rice consumed by the workers was recorded.
White rice = risk of higher weight gain
After a year, scientists discovered that people who ate a lot of white rice were more likely to gain three pounds (or more) than those who had eaten little white rice.
This could be determined with such precision because other factors such as age, sex or other food consumption were previously excluded to justify the increased risk of weight.
On brown rice, on the other hand, the result was quite different: those who ate a lot of brown rice had no increased risk of increasing as much in one year.
Replace brown rice with brown
"The results of the study suggest that brown rice / multigrain consumption is helpful in controlling body weight," the study concludes, according to a statement.
Replacing white rice with brown rice may help prevent it from gaining weight – and preventing obesity.
