The retiree was Thursday, November 22 at noon with a group of six heads from the upper station Felsenegg towards Uetliberg. Already an hour after the report of the missing person, a dozen policemen accompanied by assistance dogs searched for the missing woman. After midnight, the search for rough terrain had to be interrupted for security reasons. The next day, searches continued with about fifty police officers, accompanied by assistance dogs and fire department employees from Stallikon in thick fog.

Due to bad weather, the helicopter available with a thermal camera could not be used for the first two days of the search. As weather conditions improved last Saturday, a search flight with the police helicopter was conducted. At the same time, dozens of policemen and women were traveling to Uetliberg.

With drone and rope group

As the woman was resting in the Falletsche area, specialized grenadiers from the ropes group were deployed on this steep slope. In addition, a drone was used. On Monday and Tuesday also, dog handlers with their service dogs in the Gratstrasse area were on duty. The group of ropes again looked for a 90-year-old woman on the rocky terrain.

She controlled the steep gratestrasse trail at Falletsche via the tea room, then towards Bristen-Stäfeli-Hütte and Felsenkammer-Hütte. The Uetliberg being still covered with fog, the police helicopter could not be used on Wednesday.

In this area, the police have been particularly intense.

If time permits, the police will decide in the coming days if a search flight can still be made. In case of failure of this action, the police command of the city of Zurich will look for the missing woman.
