Tragic cable car accident during revision work on the Titlis making one dead and several seriously injured

"You are out of danger," said Thursday at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency, Norbert Patt, CEO of Titlis Bahnen. Fortunately, they were not hurt as badly as you had initially assumed.
The revision work was resumed Thursday. With other teams, as Patt said. Some workers, present at the accident yesterday, explicitly wished to start again.
If all goes as planned, the accident-hit Achter-Gondelbahn Engelberg-Trübsee ("Titlis-Express") will be back on Saturday and testing will take place on Friday, Patt said.
On Wednesday morning, the overhaul of the Engelberg OW – Trübsee cable car in the rope connection area was unexplained for unexplained reasons, the transport cables were loose and had risen upwards. Several workers were affected, one of them being dead.
Two workers were seriously injured and one moderately. They were flown to cantonal hospitals. Three people were slightly injured and could be treated on the spot.
