BMW has modernized its compact SUV X1. The Munich-based car manufacturer's crossover model will soon be available with the hybrid plug-in.
In addition, the compact crossover of the German-based, Munich-based grille is developing, as was the case with other models such as the BMW 7 Series or the BMW X7. Prices for the smallest SUV brand should start at around 33,000 euros.
The most striking external change is the modified front with large nostrils and new adaptive LED headlights. At the taillights, there is a modified graphic in the cockpit on demand, larger navigation devices and larger screens. The driver-side exterior mirror projects a two-color LED projection "X1" on the road when it is unlocked. It was more than an optical gimmick, but it would make it easier to get in and out, Munich.
PHEV four-wheel drive
The revised X1's workout program has also undergone major changes, which will be completed next year by a hybrid all-wheel-drive (xDrive 25e) rechargeable system. The combination of a three-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor covers up to 50 purely electric kilometers. Standard consumption is 2.0 liters, CO2 emissions below 50 grams per kilometer.
The most economical conventional drive is now a 2.0-liter diesel developing 116 hp. In combination with the front-wheel drive and the six-speed manual transmission, a standard consumption of 4.4 liters is reached. For power transmission, a six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox are available. New Top Diesel is a 2.0-liter, 231-horsepower, four-cylinder, four-wheel drive, eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition, it remains in diesel and gasoline engines in the power range of 140 hp to 231 hp (xDrive25i).
In addition to these technical innovations, the X1 also features the three new Jucarobeige exterior colors, the Misano metallic blue (exclusively for the M Sport model) and the exclusive BMW Individual color, Storm Bay metallic. For wheels, the customer can choose from four new models. (SP-X)
