In the United States, online book sales last year were for the first time equal to analog trade. Especially audio books were enjoying increasing popularity. In total, 2.72 billion pounds were sold in the United States last year.

Book sales sold through digital channels were $ 7.5 billion in 2017, according to the Association of American Publishers (AAP) on Friday. $ 7.6 billion was traded in analog trade.

In 2016, the head of the classic stores was even bigger: they sold for 7.95 billion pounds. In total, in 2017, according to AAP figures, 2.72 billion pounds were sold in the United States, about as much as the year before. This is mainly due to the growing popularity of audiobooks, whose sales have increased by 28.8% over 2016.
