Pecco Bagnaia was still the best rookie of his Alma-Pramac-Ducati in sixth position behind Ducati's original driver, Danilo Petrucci. He was ahead of Alex Rins and Tito Rabat who, with 60 laps, was the most diligent driver to date. Places 8 to 10 were occupied by Miller, Nakagami and Valentino Rossi, who was exactly 0.700 seconds slower than Dovizioso.
