Half of the occupants of the boat were rescued, the rescue operation continues, the rescue service said Phuket.
Phuket is a popular tourist destination for foreign tourists, including many from Germany. In Thailand, there are often fatal accidents involving boats, buses and other public transportation. Safety standards are low.
