Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer continue to break all records! For the seventh time in a row, outstanding players finished the season together in the top three positions of the ATP world rankings.

Already from 2007 to 2011 and 2014, Djokovic, Nadal and Federer have achieved this feat. However, there was something new this season: for the first time, every actor has held the position of industry leader during the year. The year as number one finished the Serb Novak Djokovic.

The 31-year-old is therefore the oldest number one at the end of the year, replacing Rafael Nadal in this ranking, which set the record only last year. Nevertheless, the Spaniard has every reason to rejoice: for the 14th time in a row, he has finished the year in the top ten. Thus, he is the second behind Federer, behind Jimmy Connors.

"Big Four" since 2004 at the top!

Federer can also hope for other remarkable figures. For the 14th time, the Swiss finish in the first three of the season, adding a new milestone to his career.

Particularly noteworthy at the ATP Stats: Since 2004, no player with the exception of Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray has had the honor of being at the top of the world rankings.

Thiem and Zverev can be satisfied

In the near future, it will probably be German Alexander Zverev. For the second time in a row, the only 21-year-old has finished the year among the top four in the ATP rankings. Due to his success in the ATP Finals in London, Sascha has outsmarted expectations for the coming season.

But Dominic Thiem can also congratulate himself on a good year: the Lichtwörther closed his year in eighth place and for the third time in a row in the top ten. This had been achieved by all Austrian tennis pros, previously only Thomas Muster.
