Anna is diagnosed with ADHD as a child. His mother vehemently defends against the drug Ritalin, but it is outdated and proves it in violent outbreaks. The difficult childhood leads to Anna in anorexia and to a friend who mentally disturbs her.
Maybe Anna could have saved a difficult childhood if her ADHD had been diagnosed earlier. Already at the age of one year, she spends her nap in the afternoons and sometimes runs only two hours in a circle. Since her parents are very athletic, everyone thinks she is just a child who wants to move. But Anna can never stay still. At school, she scores points, but she distracts her classmates. She loses her textbooks, forgets her homework. The pediatrician advises to clarify ADHD. But Anna's mother refuses an investigation. She is a teacher and her experience with children taking Ritalin leads to a great respect for drugs. But Anna's energy attacks are not diminishing.
Her mother does not support the demanding nature of Anna and is outdated. She only knows how to help with violence. Face Slapping first, then more and more brutal. Anna is nine years old when her mother confesses to her that she would like Anna to never be born. The arguments between them go so far that the mother hurt herself before Anna.
When I arrived in a room, I took it full.
At fourteen, Anna retreats more and more, feeling like a bad person. During the ski holidays, it grows to the extreme because of foreign impressions. She is so overwhelmed that she can no longer eat and can barely sleep.
Diet disorder as a control
What comes from an excessive effort becomes manifest in the control mania. A eating disorder gives Anna the feeling of having her body under control. But anorexia aggravates the conflict situation with her mother. Anna begins to physically rebel against the violent mother and turns to her father. However, she does not dare to directly attack the abuse because she feels responsible.
I sat in my room crying for days and did not understand the world. I felt so bad after what I did to my mother.
First love
After matura, she wants to go to Australia for five months. It starts the problems with her friend. He accuses him of overcharging him and being selfish. He starts to hurt himself and blames Anna. The fact is that he made her sing: if she does not come back, he wants to do something.
I thought something was really wrong at home.
She separates from her boyfriend and meets someone who understands her nature well. Someone who shows him that his illness is not self-inflicted. Her second relationship has a very positive effect on Anna. The hyperactivity tries to use it in a sporty way. She is jogging, running a marathon. On a daily basis, she remains agitated and does several things at the same time: while watching a movie, she also listens to the radio, reads a magazine, a book and surfs on the Internet.
Anna is currently considering treatment with Ritalin based on her psychologist's recommendations.
