Three federal councilors met in Berne with trade unions, employers' organizations and others.
The three Federal Councilors Alain Berset, Johann Schneider-Ammann and Ignazio Cassis have today received the advice of trade unions, employers' associations and representatives of the Swiss cantons in Bern. For the first time, the Federal Council presented the details of a draft framework agreement.
Unions insist on wage protection
The details of the meeting were not available today. Employers 'and employees' representatives wish to discuss the Federal Council's proposals internally. Immediately after the meeting, the unions stressed that they would not compromise on the protection of high wages in Switzerland.
The time for an agreement expires

Without the support of the unions, however, this should be difficult to achieve: besides the SVP, the SP would vote against the framework agreement – it could therefore fail in Parliament.
