Ten more dead in clashes

(afp) During anti-government protests in Nicaragua, security forces killed at least 10 people, including two minors. Police and paramilitary forces have acted in several opposition strongholds against the population. This was announced Sunday by the Nicaraguan Association of Human Rights (ANPDH). Six of the dead were civilians. In addition, about 20 people were injured.

According to the ANPDH, incidents occurred in the town of Masaya, 30 kilometers south of the capital Managua, as well as in the nearby towns of Niquinohomo, Catarina and Monimbó.
