US giraffe hunter poses again with dead fauna

South African hartebeest is dead in red sand. Behind the carcass is the American tourist Tess Thompson Talley. Smiling, she is holding her dog's little ride over the antelope in the air. In the shoulder: a rifle. This photo will be posted on Facebook.

A few days ago, she published a real shitstorm with her hunting photos. Thompson has published photos of a rare black giraffe that she had just killed. The African information portal "Africland Post" then called it "American barbarian, which is partly a Neanderthal".

But even the death threats leave Thompson cold. "The giraffe in Africa was already 18 years old and was unable to reproduce," she says. So filming is actually something positive.

Hunters Worldwide

The antelope is not a threatened species, unlike the giraffe, which is protected since 2016. Endangered or not: The big game attracts hunters from all over the world in Africa, to brag about the fallen animal in retrospect.

Thompson is not the only one. Recently, trophy hunter Sabrina Corgatelli has caused a jolt around the world. Like Thompson, the American woman posted a picture of herself with a giraffe drawn. He became the object of hatred of opponents of big game hunting. (szm)
