What does Migros-Wichtel Finn look for at Coop?

The fight for the favor and attention of Swiss retail customers before Christmas had been going on for several days. It is now the exchange of blows between the two best dogs, Migros and Coop.

The spot of the popular Gnome Migros Finn moved us last year with a heartbreaking story and is considered one of the most successful Christmas commercials in Switzerland with nearly 25 million video views on the networks social. No wonder Finn is looking for Migros again this year to have a nice Christmas.

After Migros announced on its Facebook channel that the story of the beloved Wichtel was entering the second round, Coop was quick to get an answer.

Coop's reaction: They simply kidnapped the generous gnome in their rows of shelves. The Coop's Facebook page has reported a nighttime sighting of Migros Imp.

That did not let Migros sit on it. And begins a humorous counterattack: "Dear Coop, we now know what Finn has done in your industry, he brought you our powdered sugar for your Christmas publicity."

And in fact: if you look closely at Coop's new location, you will notice that there is a box of Migros powdered sugar in the middle of the gay scene. Meanwhile, the icing sugar of the competition was cut on the spot.

Coop's return does not end there: "Yes, it was fun!" We weighed with Finn, and for us there was the icing sugar, for Finn a soft Noëlini blanket.
