West Ham United manager David Moyes is making four changes to his starting XI for Manchester United’s visit to the London Stadium.
Kurt Zouma and Nikola Vlašić, who both made their first starts for West Ham in the 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday night, will make their home debuts ahead of Claret and Blue Army in Sunday’s thrilling clash in Premier League.
Top scorer Michail Antonio, who opened the scoring against Zagreb, is serving a one-game domestic suspension after receiving two yellow cards against Southampton last week, with Jarrod Bowen in his place.
Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop and Manuel Lanzini also all pass on the bench after starting Thursday’s victory, with Vladimír Coufal, Angelo Ogbonna and Said Benrahma returning to the starting XI.
Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski should therefore be protected by a defender from Coufal, Ogbonna, Zouma and Aaron Cresswell – author of the second goal of the Irons in their most recent victory against the Red Devils in September 2019.
Declan Rice is once again the team’s captain, anchoring the midfielder alongside his regular partner Tomáš Souček.
It remains to be seen how the Hammers line up on offense versus Antonio’s suspension, but their forward four certainly doesn’t lack for invention or quality in Fornals, Benrahma, Vlašić and Bowen.
On the bench, Moyes will be able to call on goalkeeper Alphonse Areola; center-backs Diop and Craig Dawson; full-backs Fredericks and Arthur Masuaku; club captain Mark Noble and other midfielders Alex Král and Lanzini; and striker Andriy Yarmolenko.
