Teaser and date of the last season of “The Expanse”

Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for the sixth and final season of its highly acclaimed sci-fi drama “The Expanse”.

Additionally, it has been announced that the new series will consist of six episodes, with the first airing on December 10, followed by weekly episode releases until the series finale on January 14.

The sixth and final season picks up with the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars.

As the tensions of war and shared losses threaten to tear the Rocinante’s crew apart, Chrisjen Avasarala makes a bold move and sends former Martian Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide of the conflict.

Meanwhile, in the Belt, Drummer and what remains of his family are on the run after betraying Marco. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power begins to rise.

The announcement was made as part of the series’ virtual panel at New York Comic Con.
