MORRISVILLE, Pa. (AP) – Police found a Pennsylvania woman and her teenage daughter in an apartment with the bodies of five family members killed, including three children, authorities said Tuesday.

Shana S. Decree, 45, and Dominique Decree, 19, were charged with five counts of homicide and one count each of conspiracy.

The Shana decree told the police that "everyone in the apartment … wanted to die" and talked about suicide, according to court documents. According to the decree, one of the victims, Jamilla Campbell, 42, killed two more victims before she herself was killed.

The bodies were found Monday in a suburban apartment in Philadelphia after officials from the Bucks County Child Protection System reported unexpectedly and received no response. when they knocked on the door. A maintenance officer opened the door and found the Shana decree and the decree Dominique in a "disoriented" state, according to court documents.

The police arrived and found the five bodies in a bedroom. According to police chief, George McClay, the apartment was in "disarray", with dry walls and broken glass shards, overturned furniture and other cluttered objects.

The Shana decree was arrested early Tuesday, when her daughter was due to appear for the first time in court later that day.

It was not clear if one or the other woman still had a lawyer to speak on her behalf.

Among the victims were Na'a Irah Smith, 25, and Damon Decree Jr., 13, both of Morrisville; and Shana Decree's sister Jamilla Campbell of Trenton, NJ, and 9-year-old twin sisters Imani and Erika Allen. The authorities did not reveal how they died.

Bucks County Attorney Matthew Weintraub said the authorities were looking for Campbell's son, Joshua, who is 17 years old. He pointed out that the teenager was not a suspect, adding that the authorities simply wanted to "ensure his safety".

"We wanted to go here at this point and ensure that everyone knows that the perpetrators of these atrocious acts are now in detention and will be required to pay for their crimes," Weintraub said on the scene Monday.

The bodies were found around 16 hours. Monday after the police went to check on the welfare of the residents of the Robert Morris Apartments unit in Morrisville, along the border with New Jersey, about 50 km northeast of Philadelphia.

This three-storey, red brick complex is on a busy road lined with auto repair shops, a secure depot and a bonding agency nearby.
