County officials in Shelby, Tennessee, organized an Easter egg hunt for the visually impaired.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office in Memphis visited Facebook this week to share an article about the Easter Egg Special Hunt, which was "the first of its kind in Memphis and Shelby County," wrote the sheriff's office.

The hunt was made possible by both the Shelby County Sheriff's Office anti-bomb team and the Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The eggs were donated by the International Association of Technicians and Bomb Investigators, the sheriff's office announced.
Chassity Taylor, whose 5-year-old blind son, Bryson, participated in the event. She told 10 News that she feared that her son could never participate in the traditional activity – until now.
But children are not the only ones to participate.
Lonnie Williams, 62, also took part in the event, saying the hunt was an interesting change from those he had had trouble participating in when he was a kid.
"It was hard not to follow the rest of the kids, not to see well," Williams said, noting that the hunt for beeps was his first without a guide.
"We are already blind and visually impaired," Stephanie Jones told News 10, in collaboration with the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired Clovernook, who co-hosted the event. social interactions, you lose confidence. "

"Often, visually impaired people are forgotten people in this community," said Maxwell. "Being able to do that for the first time, I think it's great."
