A head nurse at a hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, caused brief fear Thursday when she passed out shortly after receiving Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine, according to reports.
Tiffany Dover, the nurse manager of CHI Memorial, received the vaccine and, shortly after, spoke to the media. A video posted online showed her answering reporters’ questions, then losing her train of thought.
“I’m sorry, I feel really dizzy,” she said. “I am sorry.”
She moved away from the podium and passed out. The doctors who were nearby managed to catch him.
News Channel 9 reported that minutes later she was able to speak to reporters. Doctors said the ingredients in the vaccine did not cause the episode.

Dover said she suffered from an illness where she could pass out when she was in pain.
“It hit me all of a sudden,” she said, according to the station. “I could feel it coming. I felt a little disoriented but I feel good now, and the pain in my arm is gone, ”she says.
Health officials across the United States have applauded the approval and distribution of the vaccine, but there is still some public unease about the inoculation.
Vice President Mike Pence will become the largest US recipient of the vaccine later on Friday.
The White House announced Wednesday that Pence and First Lady Karen Pence would publicly receive the vaccine to promote its “safety and effectiveness.”
Surgeon General Jerome Adams will join the pair to receive the vaccine at the White House.

The Associated Press reported that Joe Biden, the president-elect, will receive a vaccination publicly as early as next week.
