The Houston Texans are worried that their running back Lamar Miller will be torn by the ACL in Saturday's pre-season game against the Dallas Cowboys, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

He will undergo an MRI to confirm the tear.

Miller was removed from the field on a wagon during the first quarter in Arlington, Texas. In the first run, Miller was tackled by Cowboys Maliek Collins, who hit him just over the left knee. Miller grabbed his left leg and was examined by the medical staff. He was finally fired.

Miller has led the Texans since 2016. In 14 games last season, he had 973 yards on 210 carries and scored five touchdowns. Miller enters the final season of a four-year contract.

Houston traded for offensive midfielder Duke Johnson earlier in the month, but hoped to include both back in his attack. Miller was replaced in the game by Taiwan Jones.
