Houston Texans great Andre Johnson is a man of few words, but when he talks you listen.

After reports from the Texans asking to interview Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, the former All-Pro wide receiver immediately took to Twitter to express his thoughts.

Johnson defended Texas quarterback Deshaun Watson and even shot directly at Jack Easterby, the director of football operations.

“If I am @deshaunwatson I will hold my position,” Johnson wrote on Tuesday. “The Texans organization is known to spoil the careers of players. Since Jack Easterby entered the building nothing good has happened in / for the organization and for some reason someone doesn’t seem see what’s going on. Pathetic !!! “

Johnson, a special advisor to former head coach Bill O’Brien in 2019, retired from the team last season. Johnson has been around the Texans for the past two seasons and he had a strong relationship with the players on the team.

Prior to launching out on the Texans and Easterby, Johnson hasn’t posted anything on Twitter that isn’t a Crown Royal promotion since April 2019.

Even Deandre Hopkins, who is now with the Arizona Cardinals, noticed.

“When Dre speaks, listen,” Hopkins wrote.

A handful of former Texas players also responded to Johnson’s tweet.
