CONROE, Texas (AP) – According to the authorities, a 12-year-old boy was charged with murder after the shooting death of his 10-year-old brother in Texas.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said MPs on Saturday afternoon responded to a 911 call to report a shootout in Conroe, some 64 kilometers north of Houston. The authorities found the 10-year-old boy with a single gunshot wound in his chest.
The child was taken to the hospital where he died.
According to the authorities, the 12-year-old was detained in the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.
The details of the shooting were not disclosed. Authorities say it is an active investigation.
