Now, according to NBC News, teachers in the district have been told they will get mandatory training on what kind of books they are allowed to keep and which ones they will have to drop. The report says teachers will be urged to get rid of books that “may be considered offensive”. An anonymous teacher told NBC News the new rules were completely unenforceable, saying, “How am I supposed to know what 44 parent groups find offensive? The district did not comment on the NBC report.
