The Brisbane geneticist who helped develop the National Health Council and Medical Research ban of 2017 to use IVF to choose the sex or appearance of a baby spoke out against this practice.
Professor David Coman described the selection of eye color as "eugenics" and "grossly inappropriate in Australian culture".
"That's what the Nazis wanted to do, it's eugenics," he told the Sunday Mail.
