The best view of the launch of today's crew has come from the very destination of International Space Station.
Jessica Meir, NASA astronaut, Russian cosmonaut Oleg Skripochka and Hazzaa Ali Almansoori, participant of United Arab Emirates flight unstuck from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan today (25 September) at 21:57 EDT (14:57 GMT or 18:57 local time). They were to join a crew of six who currently live and work aboard the International Space Station, including fellow training classmate Meir, Christina Koch.
"What does @Space_Station look like when your best friend realizes her dream of always going into space," wrote Koch in a tweet shares the image yesterday (25 September). "Caught the second stage in progress! We look forward to welcoming you on board, crew of Soyuz 61!"

Meir and Skripochka will remain on board the space station until February; Almansoori, their travel companion, returns to Earth in just one week, since he is participating in a space flight. Koch will go home with Meir and Skripochka, completing the longest space flight by a woman. It arrived in orbit on March 14th.
Before becoming an astronaut, Meir trained as a biologist. His research included breeding a flock of geese. She has already done an internship with NASA's underwater research program.
