KANSAS CITY, MONTH – After the Detroit The Tigers lost their second straight game to open the second half Saturday night, falling behind the Kansas City The Royals in the overall standings of the American League with their trump on the hill, Matthew Boyd kicked off a team meeting.

Boyd, the left-handed left-hander who sparked market interest, had just been beaten by bullets on the ground in front of the extended information gloves, and was fighting himself by walking on the basers that scored.

He may or may not be a tiger in a few weeks; it did not change his position inside the Tigers clubhouse, where he talked about playing with energy, no matter what the situation was. Keep working hard and the results will come.

Then came Sunday, with seven points in the lead of the third inning and, ultimately, an end-of-series win over the Royals (32-62) on Sunday afternoon at Kauffman Stadium. The Tigers' offense was broken, then continued to add to another brutal throwing line from right-handed Jordan Zimmermann in a 12-8 victory.

In the win, the Tigers (29-59) recorded a record number of innings (12) and shots (19). Fieldman Harold Castro – who started the second half on warm – recorded his first four-shot match, Niko Goodrum managed to get out of a crisis with four hits and all of the training of departure contributed.

More about tigers:

Pulling from the back by two points in the top of the third – Zimmermann had allowed a single and two points to score in the first after Nicholas Castellanos and Christin Stewart opened the scoring with two consecutive doubles – the Tigers their first five men on base before Jeimer Candelario eliminated them with a brace and Gordon Beckham hit a home run of two points.

But, with a six-point lead, Zimmermann would give a good deal of money before being pulled out without getting an exit in the fifth inning. Zimmermann, a pitcher without effective slider, gave four hits to open the round. The veteran left with the Tigers ahead, 10-6.

Zimmermann allowed seven runs on eight hits in four or more innings with no goal points and two strikeouts. His EER this season is 7.01 in 52 innings.

The Tigers offensive attack eclipsed the relief work of left-handed Nick Ramirez, who took over from Zimmermann and ended the run on three throws, leading to a double play on the ground, although a marked shot at the game.

But on a hot and humid day – it was 89 degrees at the first pitch with a strong breeze blowing into the left field – the Tigers maintained offensive pressure, adding two points to the seventh. The first came on a Castro single, which then scored two batters later on a doubled charitably led by Brandon Dixon. Alexon dropped Dixon's ball into the center-left after a miscommunication with the center field player.

Castro strikes 0.315 in 111 bats. Goodrum – who hit his first game at the bat, stretching his five-game streak since the All-Star break – signed his second four-stroke match of the season. The striker of the leader, Victor Reyes, reached the goal twice and scored each time. In total, the Tigers had their best offensive day of the season, without Miguel Cabrera.
