The Blue Jays retain the top spot in Class A

VALLEY CITY, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School football team remained in first place in the Class A poll in the latest edition of the NDAPSSA 11AA and 11A football rankings.

The Blue Jays, now 5-1 this year and 4-0 in the WDA, are number one in Class A since their 20-7 victory over St. Mary’s. The Saints remained second in Class A, receiving a first-place vote against 12 for Jamestown. Fargo North, Devil’s Lake and Dickinson round out the top five in Class A.

Jamestown returns to Rollie Greeno Field on Friday night for a 7 p.m. kick-off against Class AA opponent Mandan. The Braves come in 2-4 after losing in overtime last week to Fargo Davies, 27-21. The Blue Jays were also honored as the WDA’s Team of the Week for their victory over Valley City last Friday.
