A Boeing 737-800 made an emergency landing in Tennessee on Sunday morning.
Delta Air Lines flight 1417 landed safely at McGhee Tyson airport at 9:17 am, after the crew reported a nose-down problem, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The flight took off from the Tennessee Tri-Cities Airport and was heading to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when crew members declared the state of emergency .

"Delta apologizes to customers of Flight 1417 from Tri-Cities to Atlanta who was bumped to Knoxville by cautious bombardment after a potential mechanical problem," Delta said in a statement to the United States, TODAY.
"The aircraft has landed and landed at the gate normally and is being inspected by maintenance technicians."
The 129 customers on board the flight were relocated to another plane for a faster departure to Atlanta, the spokesman added.
The FAA will continue its research.
