The Braves gather in the ninth to stun the Indians 8-7

The Atlanta Braves seemed to be dead in the water, but a big rally in the ninth inning allowed them to avoid a double while leading a four-game losing streak in the process.

Atlanta entered the ninth flight 7-3 and appeared to be headed for their fifth straight loss. The Braves will not stop however, as they will charge the bases with a goal against the Indian flag. Ender Inciarte struck for the second goal of the inning, but Ozzie Albies followed with a mere two-point right to bring the score to 7-5. Adam Cimber steered Josh Donaldson to charge the bases, prompting Terry Francona to go to the marker to get the southpaw Tyler Olson to face Freddie Freeman.

Freeman counted completely against Olson, then broke the ball thoroughly to force the race to 7-6. Francona would then invite right-hander Cody Anderson to face Acuña with two outs and always loaded bases. Acuña then jumped to a 1-0 pitch and brought it back to the left corner of the field for a 1-2 to put Atlanta at 8-7.

Anderson took Nick Markakis to charge the goals, but then forced Johan Camargo to fly to the left to end the inning.

A J. Minter then entered and hit the side in the ninth to seal the win. This was the most important return in the majors until now this season and the most important of the Braves since 2012.

Touki Toussaint struggled to control his command from the start, but the Braves quickly fell behind after 7-0. Toussaint never had the feeling of breaking his ball and allowed six hits and seven points in just 1 1/3 of the round. He made 60 shots with only 31 hits.

Atlanta finally finished fifth with a Tyler Flowers triple that scored Markakis 7-1. Dansby Swanson scored a point home in two sets in seventh place to advance to 7-3, setting the team's heroic heat in the ninth.

Atlanta will win the series Sunday when Max Fried will face Indian starter Shane Bieber.
