Norah O'Neill O 'Donnell, anchor of CBS This Morning in Charleston, took an unexpected turn when she was forced to undergo an emergency appendectomy at MUSC on Friday.

Donnell's husband, Geoff Tracy, tweeted Friday that she had lost her appendix. "I was so worried, but @MUSChealth's team and friends @CBSThisMorning made it a huge success."

He also said that it was "a spring break not to forget".
