Aaron CarterWe will not take him the arsenal … at least not yet, but that could change if the authorities decided that he was mentally unfit to own guns.
Carter has been erratic lately … friends and family are so worried that they have called the police to do social welfare checks.
Police forces say to TMZ … until a court, commission, judge or other legal authority determines that Aaron is suffering from an illness mental or of a state of health that puts him in danger for himself or for others, he can keep his firearms.
If that happened, we would be told that Carter would eventually be invited to voluntarily surrender his weapons first, but if he did not comply with that rule … ATF could grab his collection.
That said, the A.A. County Sheriff's Department told TMZ that the department is investigating the entire matter and dealing with Aaron family members who have expressed concern and even concern.

Aaron spoke to TMZ on Monday, telling us cops answered a call On Monday evening, he went to his home with the intention of taking him to a mental hospital to 5150 people.
The singer says he warned deputies that he had loaded weapons scattered around his home, but he also convinced them, along with a mental evaluator, not to pose a danger to himself or to others.
He also claims that he does not know who sent the authorities home, but he has one thing in mind: he will not give up his weapons because he fears for his safety.
Aaron has been adamant with us recently that he is mentally stable, despite "The Doctors" and the fact that he was diagnosed bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. When he spoke to us on Monday, he refuted that claim by saying that he passed all the mental health checks at own a firearm.
So, for the moment … it stays locked and charged.
