Diversity describes the beauty of October with its array of natural colors. It is a season of joy, reaping and celebration, a perfect time for the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly to celebrate its diverse membership with the October 1 opening of “Creating Joy – The Annual All Members Show”.

The reception opening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday will include food and wine served in accordance with COVID precautions.

A wide variety of artwork is spread throughout the gallery, including traditional paintings, sculptures, abstracts, fiber arts, wood, clay, jewelry and more. The show runs until the end of the month.

October also resumes the gallery’s tradition of providing education to the public with its first workshop in 2021, “Making Paper”. Member artist Patricia Cheyne will guide participants through handmade paper crafts.

There will be two sessions, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday October 18 and 25. The fees are $ 80 for ACGOW members and $ 110 for non-members.

The Westerly Artists Cooperative Gallery is located at 14 Railroad Ave., Westerly. The opening hours of the gallery are Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
